I also didnt understand the joke in german, but the “germans” said “was haben die gesagt?” which means “what did they say?” and the rest was gibberish.

Too bad the guy who died can’t write for 99% of the “comedians” on TV these days. Instead of pushing their political or social agendas and disguising it as comedy, they might actually be as funny as Monty Python was.
