see, this is what Dane Cook and his team of writers were hoping: that any listener of Dane Cook (who do YOU think is the target audience??? Think American Pie, Harold and Kumar, etc.) will have never heard of Louis CK (which is true) and thus avoid any criticism. They did their homework very, very well.

i used to think dane cook was funny… not so much any more. he kinda gets annoying after a while.
also, dane cook is only funny on MP3. Live, NO WAY!!!! I can’t stand watching him perform.
DC and his writing team have DEFINITELY ripped from louis CK, playing on the fact that DC listeners will never have heard of CK (sad, but true). In fact, if you listen closely to DC’s jokes, you’ll find that you don’t really believe that he’s actually experienced any of the things he talks about.
