110% sure Saddam closed his borders and had a standoff with UN Weapons Inspectors prior to our “intervention” as well as Taliban operating in Iraq. When I was there in 91, they had really crude camps with mud huts. When our troops when in this time, they were better structured, organized, and equipped. All the weapons caches, money piles, and even Taliban videos released to Al Jazeerah from Iraq (namely the beheading of Nick Burg-civilian contractor) showed how well they were dug in there.

Well if you’re making your judgments based on weapons of mass destruction only then Clinton was just as guilty. He had the same stance on the issue.
