As admirable as the founding principles of the “good ole US of A” are, the reality has been much different. Read a history book. I laud Americans in general because I think the cause of the US is, for the most part, a noble one. But if we stop progressing and righting the injustices inherited from the past then we’ll be nothing more than an army of pathetic Bill O’Reillys, aka, stagnant idiots who can only use the volume and force of our words to shut down reasonable discourse.

many of the comments to this video and all of the WHCD videos make Americans seem ill-informed and out of touch.
Obama may be many things, but he is certainly not an “empty-headed buffoon.” Even the most cursory glance at his speeches and actions while in office reveals that his decision-making is calculated and thoughtful. You don’t have to agree with his views, but I fail to understand how anything he has done is making us “pay dearly”–there’s simply no basis for that conclusion yet.

New Media became “important” when politicians wanted to manipul…uh uh I mean do “public relations”.
There was no CNN, MSN nor Fox News. Yes there were newspaper companies,but there was no TV and in case of Lincoln and Washington not even a radio. There was no World Wide Web nor cell phones and people had more peace while fishing.
Obama wants to have support in his lying game so he needs to kiss media ass. This whole “roast” is a calculated dirt–media-ass kissing event.
