you could hear even from the start jamie was mocking him. that goes beyond what you could consider fair roasting, and toward the end, was just childish. repeating everything he said? thats shit gets old in first grade. all im saying is, he deserved the right to bomb. thats a roast, they all have a chance to speak. when jamie took that away from him he crossed a line, he turned the crowd against him from the start. jamie would have his chance to speak minutes later, so thats just uncalled for.

I think we can all see the video, i’m more interested in what we can’t see; people are debating whether Foxx is out of line or not for demeening this guys act, for all we know Foxx’s body language off camera might mean he gave the guy even less of a chance than we know so far. But to discuss your point on a general scale, everyone might be laughing at Foxx’s jokes, but that only means they are all unfairly shooting this guy down without giving him a chance. 1of the reps was funny; ‘I’m not JF..’

I think the repetition did get a little old, but it was still funny. I dont think Williams was AWFUL or anything at the beginning, but he wasnt very good either.
I think it was pretty clear early that Foxx had an issue with the guy. He introduced him as basically a loser, and if you listen closely enough, you can hear Foxx doing the sarcastic HAHHAHAHAA after the poor guys first joke.
I cant imagine how bad that guy felt the rest of the night, I mean, you cant come off worse than that.

actually yes, in this case repetition was funny. i think jamie was hilarious, and if you watched, you’d see everyone else did too. i do think he went a little far.. and like with roasts, youre supposed to talk about everyone, so it didnt really make sense for jamie to make fun of him for that, but whatever way you look at it.. whether you thought what jamie did was right or not, you gotta admit it was funny.

hahaha, no, that was really funny. The repetition was from him stalling since he was making it all up on the spot, and for a totally impromptu deal, that was really really funny. The audience appreciated it way more with Jamie’s help, and so did the guy they were roasting, and those are the two it should be about

Is repetition really that funny? “I’m your conscience, I’m your conscience, I’m your conscience, I’m your conscience”… we heard you the first time. At least half the guys jokes were landing before Foxx interupted, let the audience or the target of the joke do the heckling; let them decide when the act isn’t any good. If you hire a band and the crowd love it you don’t pull em, same goes here, you don’t introduce and act then rip ‘em apart from the start.

You can’t really be annoyed @ Jamie for this. You might see it as disrespectful, but when a comedian stands ther and starts trying to makes jokes at the others on stage eventually one of them is going to say something back
