correct me if I’m wrong but wouldn’t glaze still sound like glaze to them. I’m pretty sure they hear the same as everyone else. I agree that they can’t make the L sound, but I disagree with “so glaze sounds like graze to them”

actually its because the japanese language doesnt have an L sound and the closest thing they have to that sound has like this R sound to it.
so glaze sounds like graze to them.
its hard for them to change how they say it, even japanese pple who study english still have a hard time saying the L sound. kinda like how most americans cant speak tonal languages, just because they arent accustomed to the different tones an A can make. ^^
