@mtfune AND- ANYONE who feels that they are forcing their beliefs on you, is in a CULT!! -sorry- I ran out of space-And respect- there is ALWAYS someone out there ready to cut your balls off on any number of topics. If we just worry about the bigger picture, the little details will fall right into place. If we could just respect each other as humans , then all the other prejudices will just melt away.

@smokeak47 NOPE!! I am simply making a reply (a disagreement) in the most civil fashon that I know how. Your beliefs are exactly that- YOURS- and mine are exactly that- MINE. You are correct about how there are not only Christian fanatics who will judge you. ALL religions have them. THAT is probably why so many people will turn their backs on GOD. They don’t want friends and family to think that they are one of “THEM”. I just wish that more folks would get the facts before closing their minds.

I am white- and I happen to LOVE going to Black Gospel chuches. I think it is a privelage being able to notice each others differences and embrace them and love each other- not just because it is the right thing to do, but because THAT is what GOD WANTS us to do! When we all get to heaven, we will have to do this!! ALL of us!! We are ALL GODS children!!! WHAT a TRUE PRIVELAGE!!!

@mwngw lol I’m sorry, but most churches in the south teach that God is very much part of our lives and He wants us to be be happy. The best example I can think of is Galatians 6: 22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. There are many places in the Bible we are told to: sing, laugh, and yes even dance. Or, put even better: Make a joyful noise unto the Lord all ye lands.

@TekelBrighteyes …actually, I meant that many Christian worldviews, Catholic for example, believe that God wants people to be miserable and suffering is His way of creating misery in order to “cleanse” the fallen soul. It’s also ever-present in Calvinistic schools that teach a strict, harsh, distant God. I suppose Pentecostals put much effort into reinforcing the idea that God is with them.
