    @CzechAvailabilitie Your posting something you read and dont understand. It has no context to our current Liberals. Classic Liberals from the late 1800s were for a limited government. Similar to our Libertarians/Conservatives of today. Conservative to the constitution. A European liberal is the opposite of a American liberal. Modern Liberals are Statists

    In case you have not studied the history of Weimar Germany:
    The Social Democratic Party of Germany got into power during the end of WWI, declared the country a republic and got rid of the Kaiser. Then when actual socialists and communists started taking over entire towns and cities they worked with the military, capitalists and Fascist Freikorps militias to assassinate the (mostly Jewish) leaders of the socialist rebels that the moderate Social-Democrats saw as dangerous extremists.

    Liberals do not seek worker ownership over the means of production, they do not seek to destroy capitalism. All in all they aren’t even left-wing enough to be considered social-democrats and social-democrats are pretty much centrists compared to actual socialists as the SDPs action during the revolution of 1919 show.
    “Classical Liberalism” is what you Americans falsely call “Libertarianism”*

    *Actual libertarianism is anarcho-communism.

    @twistdmojo Actually your wrong. Talking points like this were desinged to fool the mathmatical dolts in our country. 1st both democrats and republicans voted to spend that money. Obama voted for every spending bill put befroe him while a senator. Under Bush the debt was going down every year the last four years regardless. Furthermore, Pelosi first year as house, the paygo year 2007, the debt went up 156 %. Obama has spent and raped the public trreasury and Liberals cheer him on.
